About Me

I am a rather normal person. My main target in life is LIVING MY LIFE TO THE FULLEST. If you have ever come across the 90/10 rule, then you will understand that our life is not fully controlled by destiny. We can still dominate our life and make it as ‘high grade’ as possible.

Assuming 10% of our life is restricted by destiny or fate, the remaining 90% of our life is under our own control; whether we want to upgrade it to 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% or above, is totally up to ourselves. That’s why I always think we shouldn’t stop ourselves from proceeding to a higher level of ‘education’. We should keep embellishing our life to make it a fulfilling one. That’s how significant the role of ‘personal development’ in our life.

I like to learn and share good stuff to people around. Learning new things is a very interesting and challenging process that everyone should strive to go through. Whatever contents that I share in this website are purely my own opinions and also some great ideas and thoughts extracted from great people around the world. Hope you do learn something new at this website and do feel free to share with me your point of view about any personal development related topics. I can be reached via this email address, qq.tckhew@gmail.com.

Why DunMisCue.Com?

If you happen to be the first-time visitor of this website, you may be wondering what this website is all about? ‘Don’t miss cue’? Sounds like this webmaster is going to teach you how to play snooker more proficiently. If you conceive as what I have just said, sorry… you are wrong.

This domain name was inspired by my own family name / surname – ‘Khew’, which has the same pronunciation as ‘cue’. As I am a female, so people will normally address me as ‘Miss Khew’ spontaneously due to their ‘courtesy’. I will prefer people just call me ‘Khew’. Some of them were really ‘courteous’ when calling me, as they were chuckling over my surname, instead of bursting into laughter.

In fact, sometimes I was wondering what is so funny about Miss Khew (miss cue). As I seldom use these words in my daily life, so I don’t think it has a sense of amusement at all. But sincerely speaking, these ‘gracious’ addresses never trigger me into an anger.

‘Miss a cue’ simply means ‘fail to respond to a cue, miss a point or miss striking an object ball when playing snooker’. Some of them used to describe somebody who makes mistake as ‘miss cue’ as well. There is another family name or surname which I think is funnier, compared to ‘Khew’.

I have a female friend whose surname is ‘Tek’. Her inherited surname is ‘Teh’, but unfortunately her surname was wrongly spelled during the registration of her birth. It sounds rather normal despite its uncommonness. If you are one of them in the ‘courteous’  group, most likely you will address her with a ‘Miss’ in front of her surname, then you are undeniably leading yourself to a big ‘MISTAKE’. So her surname is always a mystery to most of her acquaintances, except her intimate friends. Most of the time, when somebody is aware of her surname, she will definitely ‘warn’ them, ‘Don’t ever call my surname with a ‘Miss’ in front’. Those who may not be ‘fast’ enough will ask her ‘why’ and subsequently enunciate her surname with a ‘Miss’ in front. ‘Miss Tek……Opps, sorry I have really made a big mistake’.

Let me channel your attention back to DunMisCue.Com, with the tag line ‘Your Cue of Personal Development’. The objective of this website is to share about cues/ideas of different aspects for personal development purposes. Hope the ‘cues’ you obtain from this website will avoid you to ‘miss a cue’ in your personal or working life. Thanks for reading the introduction of my website. Enjoy reading!

Great, reminds me years ago when the “Khew’ was not so normal. Perhaps then I was and probably I was ‘boyish’ looking when I was referred to as SallyQ, then also “molecue”.

I am glad you have chosen a theme for your web site and has positive and contructive values as to its content. This makes the Khew phenomena exeptional and please keep up the good work. I had tried to respond to your email last night but since I am new to Tweeter, I couldn’t navigate as I would have liked and I believe the messages I sent you was lost. I too believe in good values and it would be a pleasure to stay in touch with you. But, I do owe you a lot as to who and what person I am, which if we could communicate further, I will give you what I believe I owe you as a fellow human creature that had been created in the likeness of Him.(God).

  2. Nice to meet you here! You have great blog and like the way you describe yourself too. I hope I won’t miss cue too. Hahaha…

In fact, I personally think my friend’s surname, ‘Tek’, is much more amusing than mine…
