Unexpectedly, I finished reading this book within 1 day. It is definitely not a thin book. It has around 200 pages. But it has the attraction to drive me reading until the end within 1 day (as I normally use more than 1 day to finish reading a book, averagely 3 days). I enjoy reading, especially books with revealing and yet educational concepts and ideas.

The overall content structure of this book is pretty systematic.The hallmark of this book is none other than its simple and succinct grammar and description. Jargons are mostly explained in a detailed manner.Besides, I do agree that the vividly-drawn comics do attribute to the attractiveness of the book.

‘Top Money Tips for Malaysians’ by KC Lau comprises 4 major sections, whereby each section is broken down into bite sized chunks of inspiring reads. The author crafted the very first section with various smart money tips. In this section, the readers are imparted with some enlightening concepts about money. If you want to know how you can get rich regardless of bearing excessive debt, please do not miss this book! The tips shared in this book are literally depicting the actual financial context of Malaysia. That’s why it will make you feel attainable if you are a Malaysian. Eventhough you may not be a Malaysian, you will still be benefited from reading it as some of the money tips stated in this book are pretty handy and applicable to people from every corner of the globe. There are certain finance-related books in the market which disseminate some financial concepts that make you feel far remote from achieving them. But ”Top Money Tips for Malaysians’ is definitely a different one!

In order to be successful in personal finance, the author never forgets to share with us some proven money-making tips in the second section. Why did I say ‘proven’? As the effectiveness of the methods shared have already been testified by the author himself. After making money, securing our money may not be an easy task if without a clear and precise guidance provided by the author in the third section. Right after I read Chapter 16 (third section), ‘Manoeuvre Your Mortgage’, I griped to myself , ‘Oh no, I should have read this book earlier.’ This book is saturated with lots of useful tips concerning home loan. This book highlights some important terms and conditions that we should look into when getting the home loan offer letter from the bank. I have purchased a new house recently. I was not meticulous enough while reading the terms and conditions of the offer letter. Instead, I could have made a wiser decision if I read this book before applying a home loan. But fortunately I am still not lagging behind as I still manage to grab some instrumental tips in reducing the overall loan tenure and interest.

After saving money, ways to protect your hard-earned money is significant. These important tips are shared in the last section of the book. Again, it is another insightful section by KC Lau. In my opinion, a great book should be able to convey fresh messages to the readers. I am not very excellent in personal finance, but I did expose to a certain level of knowledge in this field previously. I am still able to capture a lot of thought-provoking ideas about personal finance after reading it. 

If you have just started to explore in personal finance, this is a right book for you as it is simple and easy to understand. If you want to climb another rung on your personal finance ladder, this is also a right book for you as it will surely provide you some unprecedented ideas for your further improvement.
